Let me introduce you to the legacy of the most amazing woman I know......   My Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2005...endured a double mastectomy, chemo and radiation. Her attitude was amazing. She always had a smile on her face and had the most positive outlook, even in the face of her own diagnosis. She had more faith than anyone I've ever known!   She cut the ribbon at the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Walk in October 2005, and was let go from her job in November 2005 for being unable to fulfill her duties due to Cancer treatments.   In January 2006, I took her for a second opinion. On the drive I asked her what she always wanted to do but hadn't yet. She wanted to cruise to Alaska and she always wanted to see Italy. That day the Dr. said three to five years. She passed away in 6 weeks later.   I miss my Mom and I want change for cancer patients! Each year, we want to send Stage 4 patients and their caregivers to Alaska and Italy! It's not just about surviving, it's about living! Our Mom was FUN...Our Mom was STRONG...Our Mom raised us to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in this world and that's just what we intend to do! Thus, Scooters4Hooters was born! It encompasses her powerful spirit through music, fun and bringing the community together.   Get involved and help us raise awareness and take care of our Mothers, Sisters, Wives and Daughters, OUR cancer patients! Let them enjoy their families so that they can fight this fight...not just surviving...but LIVING! Libby's Legacy’s mission is to assign advocates to cancer patients... to give them the gift of that TIME! We will kick off the partnership by assigning the advocate and then sending those patients on a week long trip to either Alaska or Italy! It's the best way for my Mom to experience those places...through the eyes and laughter of others!
